- Pelican Cup 2008 will be held on 8, 9 and 10 August 2008, in the usual location of Gödollö, Hungary. Additional information in the entry form which is located HERE. The Pelican Cup pitches different types of traditional bows against each other, namely the English longbow and the nomad recurve bow. There will be Hungarian, English, Dutch and Turkish archers present! Another excellent opportunity to broaden your archery horizons...
- Stora Skanska 3d Jakten will be held on 23 and 24 August 2008. Our Swedish friends once again invite everyone to join them for this animal shoot. *UPDATE* Here is the entry form for this wonderful competition. It will be held the same place as last year, in a wonderful nature area in the south of Sweden. The Swedish organisers would love for people from all over Europe to join them. I can recommend a visit as we've thoroughly enjoyed it!
- And we have also received a new invitation from The Netherlands:
The 10th ARCHEON OPEN will be organised by the Scutterie of Sint Sebastiaen, on the 21st of September in the Archeon theme park. This is a historical theme park with reconstructions of historic buildings and villages. See the Archeon website.
Because it is the 10th anniversary of this archery competition, they would like to make it a big event, and they are looking for archers from all over Europe to join in and shoot with them.
In special cases they can provide for sleeping accommodation. The board of Archeon will give the archers free meals and beds. There are only beds for about 40 persons in the Roman house, so if you need accommodation please book on time.
